Inquiry suggests greenhouse gas emission reduction for jet fuel

A greenhouse gas emission reduction obligation for jet fuel is proposed by an Inquiry to the Government. The blending ration should be 1 % 2020 and 30 per cent by 2030 taken into account supply and price of such fuel, and demand in other sectors. 

The proposal has been handed over to Isabella Lövin, Minister for Environment and Climate.    

In its’ report the Inquiry also suggests that the possibility of procuring bio-jet fuel should be introduced in the central government framework agreements and that the Swedish Energy Agency should be tasked with analysing whether investment or operating aid should be developed for production facilities with new technology.
